Claire Dunn

Claire began her legal career in 2000, qualifying as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) before going on to qualify as a Solicitor in 2005. Throughout her career, she has dedicated herself exclusively to Personal Injury law.

She joined Truth Legal as a Senior Solicitor in February 2025 and was promoted to Deputy Head of Personal Injury in July 2026.

With more than two decades of experience, Claire has represented injured claimants in a broad range of personal injury matters and has also acted in claims against public authorities involving unlawful detention, assault and breaches of Human Rights legislation. Having previously represented defendant insurers, she brings valuable insight into how claims are approached from both sides.

Claire specialises in serious and complex personal injury claims, supporting clients who have suffered life-changing injuries, including brain injuries. She is particularly passionate about helping vulnerable clients and those who have experienced abuse, ensuring they receive empathetic and practical support throughout the claims process.

One of Claire’s proudest achievements is her involvement in the steering group established to support victims of the Medomsley Abuse scandal. She has also secured significant settlements for seriously injured clients, achieving compensation awards of up to £300,000.

Outside of work, Claire enjoys theatre, live music and comedy. She is also a keen mixologist and enjoys experimenting with new cocktails in her spare time.
