Lucy Hughes

Lucy began practising law in 2020. She holds an undergraduate law degree and completed the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) in 2021.

She joined Truth Legal in 2025, bringing five years of experience in immigration law.

Since beginning her career, Lucy has developed experience across a wide range of immigration matters. Starting with student visa applications, she has gone on to build expertise in partner visas, Global Talent visas and Skilled Worker applications. She enjoys helping clients navigate what can often be a complex immigration process and takes pride in providing clear, practical advice throughout their journey.

One case Lucy is particularly proud of involved securing an unmarried partner visa for a client relocating to Jersey with her partner. The case required navigating the additional complexities that arise from Jersey’s status as a Crown Dependency, as well as overcoming delays from Jersey Immigration. Despite these challenges, Lucy successfully secured the visa, allowing the client to begin the next chapter of her life with her partner.

Outside of work, Lucy is an avid reader and enjoys getting outdoors for walks and attending concerts whenever she can. She is also passionate about learning new skills and is currently studying both German and Spanish. While she would not yet describe herself as fluent, she hopes to put her language skills to good use on future travels.
