Jack* was on a day out with his family when he slipped on a metal plate set into a barrier on the ground. He hit his head and was unconscious for several minutes and when he came to, he was incoherent and bleeding from the back of his head. Taken by ambulance to the local hospital, a brain injury was suspected. In time memory loss, tiredness, loss of concentration and mood swings manifested themselves.
Jack asked the personal injury team at Truth Legal to bring a claim against the local authority responsible. At first, they would not accept liability and blamed the organisers of the event Jack and his family had been visiting.
After pressing the matter, the team got the local authority to accept liability. A neurological report revealed a mild brain injury of limited duration. Jack was self-employed and lost time at work due to his injuries.
Tim and the personal injury team at Truth Legal recovered £50,000 for Jack.
