Olivia Pickering

Olivia began her legal career in 2016 and has specialised in immigration law since 2019. She joined Truth Legal in 2022 and has since built significant experience supporting clients through a wide range of complex immigration matters. Alongside her work, Olivia completed her law degree in 2023 and is currently working towards qualifying as a Solicitor.

Olivia works with both individuals and businesses on a wide range of immigration matters. She has particular expertise in complex personal immigration cases and enjoys helping clients navigate significant life events, from securing the right to remain in the UK to helping families build their future together. She also advises organisations on sponsor licence applications, overseas recruitment, sponsor licence compliance and audit preparation. Olivia particularly enjoys getting to know her clients and hearing their stories. She takes pride in building strong relationships and supporting people through what can often be a complex and emotional process, helping them take the next step in their lives with confidence.

Among the cases Olivia is most proud of is helping a client regularise their immigration status after living in the UK for 20 years, enabling them to finally access much-needed medical treatment that had previously been unavailable to them. She also helped a mother secure immigration status, providing the stability she needed to continue her life in the UK and allowing her to take her baby to meet family members abroad for the first time.

Outside of work, Olivia is a mum of three and values spending time with her family above all else. She is also a keen traveller and is working her way through a personal challenge to visit a country for every letter of the alphabet. The Bahamas remains high on her travel wish list, particularly for the chance to swim with the famous pigs.
